Join us for the 2024 ATRI Convention & Trade Show! This year's meeting will be held in Peoria, IL on October 11 & 12.
Please join the Illinois Auto Recyclers for the upcoming Convention & Trade Show October 11/12 2024 in Peoria, IL at the Holiday Inn. We will have a golf outing on Friday 1pm at Weaver Ridge. That evening we will open the trade show with a cocktail/auction/reception. Saturday the trade show will be open from noon until 2pm. Lunch will be at noon with the attendees.

If you bring a couple catalytic converters, you can drop off at Mullins. You can tour Thursday from noon until 5 or Friday morning before the show starts at 1.

All of us here at ATRI are extremely pleased about the accomplishments the association has achieved in the past year. We as an association have begun the footwork for the future as we explore the very outdated Illinois Vehicle Code. Many efforts made from all of the ATRI members have paid off! We have some pending legislation at this time and are just waiting to get it introduced. As always, we will keep you informed.
Suppliers receive many benefit froms being an associate member of ATRI. You can add your logo and a 50-word blurb about your business to our website. You will also be listed on the supplier's page of our website, and we do encourage our regular members to use the suppliers that are ATRI members. You will be listed in our newsletter that goes out 6 times a year to all recyclers in the state of Illinois. All this for only $250 a year. ATRI will email information you provide to us that is pertinent information in the industry.

Our event will be going on during the Rt 66 Mother Road Show which will be held downtown that weekend as well. The trade show will actually be open to the public on Saturday for the last two hours of the show.

The year 2015 is quickly drawing to a close. It's time to renew your membership for the coming year!
Our industry is struggling from the economy, and we are at a crucial point where we need to speak up and make a difference. There are more and more unregulated buyers out there forcing us to fight for the very thing that keeps us going, and alive, in this business today. We must take a proactive approach from this point on if we intend to stay in business. This is a battle that can't be fought alone.

Our own John Catalano, Sr. of Bionic Auto Parts recently spoke with NBC 5 in Chicago about the potential for identity theft when personal information is left in a wrecked car that then makes its way to a salvage yard, particularly for wrecks at self-service yards. While responsibility falls on the car's former owner to ensure all personal effects have been removed prior to tow, that doesn't always happen, especially following injury accidents. For the protection of others, adopt a policy at your own facility to ALWAYS destroy any personal effects which are left behind in the wrecks you receive.
